About the position

The Business Operations Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is responsible for leading a team that supports various complex operational areas within the Workplace Experience + Law Enforcement Group. This role requires a proven leader who can influence multiple departments, communicate effectively, and develop talent while managing the group's budget, information management, and workforce practices. The position emphasizes strategic planning, process improvement, and alignment with the bank's overall goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the successful development and administration of the Group's budget, compensation, contract and procurement administration
  • Manage the Group's information management and business continuity programs
  • Ensure alignment of communications with the Group and Bank's strategy
  • Oversee the workforce management program to ensure effective hiring practices
  • Advise the leadership team on strategic plans to achieve business goals
  • Work with stakeholders to determine priorities, challenges, and process improvement opportunities
  • Identify and implement innovative processes to support the Group
  • Develop and implement processes and policies to achieve business goals
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team of professionals
  • Connect team members to Bank and Group strategy, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives
  • Build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in the organization and with external vendors
  • Embrace and execute change through frequent communication to team members and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to functional areas of responsibility or Business Management; Master's degree desirable
  • 5+ years of experience in successfully managing and leading teams
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Understanding of business strategy and finance business practices including expense and capital forecasting and financial planning
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources
  • Strong problem-solving and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Visio
