About the position

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative, financial, and human resource functions of the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient processes, a positive work environment, and effective resource management, ultimately supporting the team in achieving organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Work closely with external accountants for tax preparation.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost savings, improve profitability, and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
  • Review resumes and assist with initial candidate screening process.
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and promoting a positive work culture.
  • Address employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Streamline operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity across departments.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for core business functions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, office supplies, and company resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, finance, or human resources, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, HR policies, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to learn new technology/systems quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
