The Business Operations Manager at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic operational management of assigned business centers within the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR). This position involves contributing to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices, ensuring efficient resource management and effective solution development. The role requires strong leadership and management skills to support a diverse workforce and promote a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the Business Center Management Team, contributing to strategic vision and planning.
• Oversee the overall strategic operational management of assigned IANR business centers, including budgeting, finance, and human resources.
• Make decisions affecting all IANR Business Centers.
• Implement new or revised processes based on knowledge of UNL and IANR business operations.
• Work with Business Center Managers to ensure consistent practices and processes across the business center structure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or closely related field.
• Five years of experience in a senior leadership position, including supervisory and fiscal management experience.
• Strong business management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience in building and leading strong teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting, human resources, and business management practices.
