The Consumer Engineering (CE) team is seeking a talented, self-driven, technical business operations professional to partner with engineering leaders in managing and strategizing within an engineering domain. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within the CE team, which is focused on serving the needs of the leadership. The team thrives in chaotic environments and collaborates with various business operations teams to tackle projects at scale. The successful candidate will contribute to and execute on Workforce Strategy, align workforce allocation with strategic priorities, and partner with Finance for budget enablement. They will also work with leadership and PMO to create operating plans, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's strategic direction. In this role, the individual will build a culture of data-driven decision-making by developing, maintaining, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics. They will be responsible for developing messaging for internal communications and executing Employee Engagement efforts in partnership with HR. The role also involves facilitating operating cadences such as staff meetings, operational reviews, and town halls, as well as coordinating forums for check-ins with teams, engineering, and product as needed. The candidate will drive Technical Platform programs/projects in collaboration with engineering leaders, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute on Workforce Strategy.
  • Align workforce allocation according to strategic priorities and execute within Workforce Planning.
  • Provide requirements to Workforce Planning for analysis against strategic initiatives to allow decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance for budget enablement.
  • Partner with leadership and PMO to create operating plan, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Build a culture of data-driven decision-making by developing, maintaining, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics.
  • Develop messaging, ranging from internal communications to presentations.
  • Execute Employee Engagement efforts in partnership with HR.
  • Develop and implement best practices across operating rhythms and routines.
  • Facilitate operating cadences such as staff meetings, operational reviews, town halls, leadership offsites, AMAs as required.
  • Coordinate forums for check-ins with teams, engineering, product, and as needed.
  • Drive Technical Platform program/project in collaboration with engineering leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in planning, business operations or technical project management.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering projects.
  • Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Workday & Fieldglass preferred.
  • High delivery focus with an emphasis on task ownership and completion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed management environment.
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
  • Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Ability to influence and achieve alignment across a range of different opinions and interests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is required.
