About the position

CISCO is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to drive process improvement initiatives, optimize workflows, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a remote, collaborative, and dynamic environment, with a passion for achieving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements.
  • Measures performance against process requirements to identify gaps and optimize workflows.
  • Aligns process improvements with performance shortfalls and business objectives.
  • Conducts cost and benefit analyses to assess the financial impact of process changes.
  • Delivers presentations and training sessions on process improvement, including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control techniques.
  • Communicates progress to stakeholders and ensures alignment with project goals.
  • Acts as an individual contributor, driving initiatives independently while collaborating with teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing complex budget processes, financial modeling, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer support or customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to evaluate options, resolve internal priorities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of enhancing an organization's reputation by proactively accepting ownership of new and complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) and process mapping software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Certifications in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt) are a plus.
