About the position

The Business Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Director of a respected early care and education provider in Austin, TX. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who is passionate about human care and possesses strong leadership abilities. The role involves overseeing various operational aspects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing diverse responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct support to the Executive Director, including anticipating needs and providing data, research, budget information, and summaries on various topics.
  • Oversight of insurance matters, including renewals, claims, and legal compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, particularly in HR, labor laws, and licensing standards (TX DFPS).
  • Review, edit, and oversee the creation of marketing materials, blogs, and website content.
  • Supervision of the marketing and advertising team, ensuring timely completion of projects and staying up-to-date on industry trends, online advertising, SEO, and competitor activities.
  • Provide operational oversight, including project management, budget tracking, and compliance monitoring.
  • Communication, editing and intuitive thinking skills related to business operations, regulations, customer service, industry competition and creative thinking and implementation.
  • Attention to details related to facilities, workforce, increasing profile of for profit human centered care and education business.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree and three years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Strong research, communication, and editing skills, with an ability to anticipate needs and synthesize information effectively.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment with diverse duties.
  • Understanding of budgetary and accounting practices, and strong Excel/reporting skills.
  • Proven leadership skills, able to inspire teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a family-owned business, nonprofit, or community-serving organization, or as a paralegal is a plus.
  • Legal alertness, with experience in handling legal compliance and insurance matters.
