About the position

The Business Operations Manager at PMI is responsible for overseeing the department's budget, forecasting, and reporting. This role involves managing a team of subject matter experts in exam content development and requires effective collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and finance teams to ensure alignment with budget plans and actuals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the department budget and forecasting and reporting.
  • Oversee a team of subject matter experts responsible for exam content development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate with stakeholders regarding budget plans and actuals.
  • Negotiate agreements for services or relationships that align with organizational objectives.
  • Execute multiple projects and manage teams in an agile, customer-centric environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related area required; MBA or master's degree strongly preferred.
  • PMP Certification desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role; experience in a global organization is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, developing and executing detailed plans.
  • Proficiency in English, the business language for PMI.
  • Strong relationship management skills with a track record of positive long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills.
