About the position

The Business Operations Manager at Astrion plays a crucial role in supporting the C3I and Infrastructure Division at Hanscom AFB, MA. This position involves strategic and tactical program planning, program integration, and process improvement to enhance business operations within the Department of Defense (DoD) context. The manager will be responsible for monitoring progress on various initiatives, drafting documentation for leadership, and ensuring effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized to monitor progress toward various taskings and initiatives.
• Provide strategic and tactical program planning using knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles as defined in DoDI 5000.2.
• Carry out program integration tasks such as developing, tracking, and updating integrated roadmaps and schedules for a large, multi-program portfolio.
• Use process improvement expertise to inform business operations, human relations, manpower, and internal resource utilization.
• Draft documents for the approval and signature of leadership.
• Work proactively with minimal supervision and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation.
• Track and inform portfolio expenditures, spend plan development, and build documentation to support financial requirements documents and processes.
• Coordinate, document, monitor, and support a variety of meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in a respective technical discipline, with 3 years supporting DoD efforts.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have an active US security clearance.
