The Business Operations Manager at RiverStone Health is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the operational processes of the Home Health and Hospice programs. This position is designed to ensure that the business operates efficiently and effectively, aligning operational strategies with the overall business objectives. The manager will work closely with the Senior Director and other department heads to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving productivity and streamlining operations. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare environment, particularly in home health services, which provide medical treatment for illnesses or injuries, helping patients regain independence and manage chronic conditions. Additionally, the manager will oversee hospice services, which focus on providing comfort-oriented care for terminally ill patients, ensuring quality of life and support for both patients and their families. The Business Operations Manager will assess program and client needs, ensuring that program objectives are met while identifying and implementing improvements to services. This includes monitoring compliance with guidelines, laws, and regulations, as well as planning and forecasting future operational needs. The manager will also be responsible for investigating complaints, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and coordinating activities of program committees. A significant aspect of the role involves analyzing operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring that operations align with customer needs to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. In addition to operational oversight, the manager will maintain and update operational policies and procedures, prepare regular reports on performance, and provide training sessions for staff. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, staff, and the public. Responsibilities

  • Assess program and client needs and ensure that program objectives are met.
  • Identify, suggest, or implement improvements to programs and services.
  • Review, interpret, and monitor compliance with guidelines, laws, and regulations.
  • Work with the Senior Director to plan and forecast future business operation needs.
  • Investigate complaints and suspected violations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Coordinate activities of program committees or other groups and plan procedures.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement improvements.
  • Assist in directing and coordinating programmatic budget development.
  • Monitor and control operational costs to ensure budget adherence.
  • Implement and manage operational best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive working environment and promote team collaboration.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain and update operational policies and procedures as needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational operations and activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on operational performance for the home health and hospice leadership team.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall business operations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure that operations are aligned with customer needs and that customer satisfaction is prioritized.
  • Develop strategies to improve the customer experience and drive customer loyalty.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of applications to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Create and maintain user manuals, FAQs, and other documentation to assist staff with application-related tasks.
  • Provide training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of the applications.
  • Create/Update documentation for a new or changing process, including systems changes.
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot networking and operating problems with office and field staff.
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for application enhancements and new features.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance and user experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest application technologies and trends to suggest improvements.
  • Maintain and configure the end user systems to achieve optimum performance levels.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience in leadership or management.
  • Any combination of experience and training that provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in related field.
  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 2 years' experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
