About the position

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing business technology systems utilized in the production and servicing of mortgages at Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation (IBMC). This role involves managing projects, translating business needs into execution, and ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of various mortgage technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Mortgage technology application structure, including setting up new loan programs and business channels.
• Integrate core platforms (Encompass, MSP) into other applications and websites.
• Deliver data and documents to external investors or other parties.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers and Staff to develop and execute new initiatives for all areas of IBMC.
• Define and manage projects at IBMC, serving as a liaison between IBMC and Iowa Bankers IT.
• Identify and implement ideas to enhance efficiency across IBMC.
• Lead, design, test, and implement new ideas and processes.
• Set up and manage testing for all requested system and process changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Five to ten years of experience in the mortgage business, project management, and supervisory roles.
• 3 years of experience with Encompass or a similar Loan Origination system.
• 3 years of experience with MSP or a similar Loan Servicing system.
• 3 years of programming/system administration or similar experience.
• Demonstrated high level of knowledge in mortgage applications or similar systems.
• Ability to implement projects across multiple functional areas.
• Strong independent working skills.
• Understanding of business issues and data requirements in the mortgage industry.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical employees.
