About the position

The Business Operations Manager at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Center, collaborating with the Center Director and university financial officers. This full-time position involves managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The role also includes outreach to support the Center's goals and requires strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor program budgets for grants, contracts, and designated funds in consultation with the Center Director.
• Prepare reports and maintain expenditure budgets through Workday for the Center.
• Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and receivers in Workday.
• Create and maintain accurate budget files and records of required purchase orders in Workday.
• Collaborate with Human Resources regarding Center staffing procedures.
• Prepare and manage everyday Center activities in consultation with the Center Director.
• Prioritize project activities to meet deadlines for grants and internal university fiscal deadlines.
• Provide oversight of awarded grants and contracts in consultation with the Director.
• Maintain financial grant and contract files updated and verified for accuracy via Workday.
• Act as liaison between the Center and UA Little Rock Financial Services, Procurement, and Human Resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Project management experience.
• Program development experience.
• Experience working in a higher education environment.
• Experience in budget management and developing online management resources.
