About the position

Our client is currently hiring a Business Operations Manager to join their team in Cambridge. As a Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Unit (BU) in managing and reporting on strategic initiatives critical to efficient BU operations. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for relevant contracting systems and resolve complex contractual issues independently. If you have at least 5 years of experience working with complex pharmaceutical projects in a global environment, then this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

• Oversee the contracts process, including processing, tracking, and archiving contracts in accordance with local procedures.
• Act as the primary liaison for contractual matters between BU, Legal, Procurement, Ethics and Compliance, Finance, and other functions.
• Conduct monthly accrual reviews and collaborate with Finance and Business Owners on financial updates.
• Manage procurement systems, resolve invoice inquiries, and support general budget maintenance.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute agreements, ensuring compliance with global SOPs and transparency requirements.
• Manage the PDT R D SharePoint site, ensuring its relevance and accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a business operations role within complex pharmaceutical projects in a global environment.
• Experience in R D, commercial, business, or corporate development/consulting, particularly in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Understanding of drug development and/or medical devices, with familiarity in pipeline assets.
• Advanced communication skills in a global, culturally diverse environment, with a collaborative approach and willingness to assist colleagues.
