The Business Operations, Senior Analyst will be engaged in a broad range of business operation activities in support of project development and construction activities throughout ENGIE North America's (ENA) portfolio of Grid Scale Renewables, which includes utility-scale wind, solar, and storage assets. This role is integral to the success of ENA's Grid Scale Renewables Project Development, Project Delivery, and Commercial Strategy cross-functional teams, providing support to managers, directors, and vice presidents within these teams. In this position, your daily responsibilities will focus on establishing and maintaining various budget control processes, conducting accounting forensic analysis, and resolving issues related to project management controls using SAP and COUPA. You will also be responsible for routine CapEx budget reviews and reporting. The Senior Analyst will work independently with various corporate functional support groups, such as Accounting, Accounts Payable, IT, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Procurement, to implement ongoing business operation processes and resolve identified issues. Key tasks include assisting with the formation and upkeep of SAP Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) projects/templates, analyzing and reporting on Project Development/Construction CapEx and Operations/Maintenance OpEx spend data, and executing forensic accounting tasks to identify discrepancies. You will routinely produce and distribute monthly project status reports, update and review budgets with managers, and highlight any approaching budget constraints and risks to ensure proactive management. Additionally, you will assist development, construction, and project managers in establishing full life cycle budgets in SAP and prepare annual cash spend plans and routine cash forecasting exercises. The role also involves identifying process gaps and opportunities for improving existing processes, engaging with various corporate functions to roll out new or updated business processes and tools, and developing documentation and process flows to define various business processes. You will collaborate with Project Controllers on budget management, scheduling, and quality control initiatives to enhance these processes. Training and orientation efforts surrounding the use of legacy business systems/tools and the rollout of new enterprise systems will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will work with development managers, Accounting, and Procurement to transition historic costs and established purchases to full life cycle project budgets and templates, ensuring accurate assignment of accounting and purchasing history for all Safe Harbor tax credit equipment to applicable projects. Finally, you will facilitate and maintain comprehensive documentation and process flows that delineate the operational procedures of our business units and provide support to Project Controllers by contributing to various initiatives aimed at budgeting, scheduling, and quality control to enhance business processes.
