About the position

The Business Operations Senior Manager at Truist is responsible for leading and managing the team that administers the life premium finance business. This role involves overseeing daily operations, mentoring team members, ensuring compliance with policies, and enhancing client experiences. The manager will also interact with external parties, contribute to policy updates, and monitor data integrity to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee processes for new business, annual renewals/resets and maturities.
  • Manage and maintain up to date Policies, Procedures, and training manuals.
  • Oversee Letter of Credit exposure reports and ensure organized safekeeping of physical Letters of Credit.
  • Prepare for and contribute to seamless month, quarter and year-end closings with Finance/Accounting.
  • Maintain data reports on proportionate share debt allocations for multi-life transactions.
  • Conduct training sessions individually and/or collectively.
  • Resolve customer service issues as they arise.
  • Participate in Territory portfolio meetings.
  • Propose enhancement to loan management system and operational processes and serve as the liaison for the business with the systems development team.
  • Conduct routine and regularly scheduled meetings with the team and at least semi-annual in-person team meetings.
  • Ensure system data integrity by reviewing quotes and activated loan transactions.
  • Monitor and update as needed, insurance company ratings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and related training
  • Ten years of premium finance experience with a broad background in all aspects of the business
  • Five years of management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within the guidelines established by the corporation to achieve revenue and profit goals
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities with ability to motivate internal teammates
