The Business Operations Specialist will support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) - ESO (Acquisition function). The DHA is responsible for the effective execution and operation of the Department of Defense (DoD) medical mission, which is to provide medical services and support to specified categories of individuals entitled to DoD medical care. This role involves developing organizational communication through various vehicles to internal and external stakeholders, as well as implementing, monitoring, evaluating, forecasting, and reporting progress toward achieving organizational goals and objectives. The specialist will produce, maintain, and publish a variety of routine reports and publications at the executive level. The contractor will assist ongoing Government efforts and initiatives related to the DHA goal of developing and maintaining a high-performance acquisition organization. The support will focus on the need for operations to continue refining and retooling acquisition processes to achieve the strategic vision of the organization. The contractor will assist the Chief Acquisition Executive (CAE) in acquisition strategic planning, management advisory consulting, acquisition operations quality assurance, new efficiency initiatives, changes in policy and actions, and support implementation of RMIC findings and corrective actions. This includes process improvement, implementation, and sustainment, as well as improved metrics reporting, network-based buying, and acquisition of services implementation. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the DHA's mission. The specialist will also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
