About the position

The Business Operations Specialist, Principal role is designed to support the Safety and Infrastructure Protection Team (SIPT) within PG&E's Emergency Field Operations. This position focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements, managing communications, coordinating training, and developing resources to enhance business operations. The role is hybrid, requiring both remote work and presence at assigned locations based on business needs, with a strong emphasis on wildfire mitigation and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Solve unique and complex problems for the department and/or line of business that have company-wide impact and risk, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
• Work with Senior Management on strategic planning and decision-making for the department and/or line of business.
• Manage high complexity cross-functional projects and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Provide unique subject matter presentations on company initiatives to higher levels of management.
• Execute safety initiatives, monitor documentation and compliance with safety training requirements, and perform other safety-related duties.
• Apply broad expertise on department and/or line of business function management to address wide-ranging safety issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of job-related experience.
• Valid CA driver's license or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in inter-organizational management of complex, strategic projects.
• Ability to communicate at the Executive level.
• Understanding of Cal-OSHA Title 8.
• Understanding of wildland firefighting safety.
• Certified in ICS I-100, I-200, and I-300.
