About the position

The Business Operations Specialist, Principal role at PG&E focuses on supporting the Safety and Infrastructure Protection Team (SIPT) within the Emergency Field Operations organization. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, managing communications, coordinating training, and developing resources to enhance business operations. The role requires a strategic mindset to solve complex problems that impact the company and involves collaboration with senior management on planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Solve unique and complex problems for department and/or line of business that have company-wide impact and risk, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
• Work with Senior Management on strategic planning and decision-making for department and/or line of business.
• Manage high complexity cross-functional projects and work with multiple departments.
• Provide unique subject matter presentations on company initiatives to higher levels of management.
• Execute safety initiatives, monitor documentation and compliance with safety training requirements, and perform other safety-related duties.
• Apply advanced knowledge to wide-ranging safety issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of job-related experience.
• Valid CA driver's license or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Inter-organizational management of complex, strategic projects.
• Ability to communicate at the Executive level.
• Understanding of Cal-OSHA Title 8.
• Understanding of wildland firefighting safety.
• Certified in ICS I-100, I-200, and I-300.
