About the position

The Business Optimization Director (Chief of Staff- CCO) at Healthequity, Inc. is a pivotal role responsible for strategic planning, project management, and business transformation within the commercial organization. This position focuses on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across sales and operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The director will support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in executing key initiatives and managing operational processes, while also leading commercial transformation initiatives to adapt to market changes and new opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Commercial Leadership team to develop and refine sales enablement and operational strategies that drive revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze and optimize sales and relationship management processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both sales and operations, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
  • Manage critical cross-team business priorities and operational processes to ensure seamless integration between sales, operations, and marketing.
  • Lead and support growth and transformation initiatives to modernize and enhance the commercial organization's capabilities, including the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support CCO by prioritizing and managing the commercial strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Lead the development of strategic meeting agendas and cadences, including weekly leadership meetings and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Manage special projects, often involving cross-functional teams, to address critical business needs or opportunities.
  • Lead and manage key projects within the commercial organization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop detailed presentations, project plans, set timelines, and manage resources to meet project goals.
  • Prepare and develop CCO presentations for the board of directors and other management meetings.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
  • 12+ years proven experience in sales operations, project management, and supporting senior executives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in developing and managing operational cadences, including business reviews and leadership meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in leading or supporting sales transformation initiatives, including technology adoption and process optimization
  • MBA or relevant certification, preferred

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $133,000 to $180,000 per year
