About the position

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Business Paralegal to support a team of attorneys within a NYC legal firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on business-based immigration and PERM experience. This role is crucial in managing ongoing client and partner communication, ensuring that all legal documentation is accurate and complete, and preparing cases for filing with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The Business Paralegal will be responsible for maintaining clear and professional communication with clients, managing multiple cases simultaneously, and supporting partners with immigration case assistance and research. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure accuracy in case preparation and documentation, as well as proficiency in tools such as Google Drive, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing client and partner communication.
  • Entry of relevant legal information into the database.
  • Support 3 Partners with immigration case assistance and research.
  • Request necessary information and documentation from clients via email, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Review cases for completeness, ensuring all required documents and information are provided.
  • Prepare final cases for filing with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of business-based immigration experience.
  • Experience with H visas and PERM process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Highly detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in case preparation and documentation.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously with precision.
  • Proficient in Google Drive, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communicator with multitasking abilities.
