About the position

The Business Planning & Operations Analyst will lead strategic projects aimed at growing and transforming Thomson Reuters' Global Print organization. This role involves structuring, planning, executing, and delivering high-impact business transformation projects that align with the organization's strategic objectives. The analyst will work across various functional areas and partner teams, playing a critical role in identifying and managing key business initiatives, as well as supporting AI and automation initiatives to foster innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, with strategic direction from PMO and business owner leadership.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including Global Print teams, cross-functional partner teams, and senior management.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and report on project progress, identifying and addressing roadblocks, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities, develop and contribute to business strategy and solutions, and act as a change leader.
  • Develop and maintain business optimization plans, including documentation of process & technology maps and optimization recommendations.
  • Foster an energetic and innovative team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, actively seeking opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing projects or leading strategic business initiatives, and managing and prioritizing backlogs and project portfolios.
  • Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally and with stakeholders and team members at all levels, to drive initiatives with maximum business impact.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management skills.
  • Passion for Innovation (with AI, and citizen development) and business transformation.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to balance the ideal operational state with doing what it takes to deliver on goals.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
