About the position

The Business Planning & Operations Manager for the People Team at Visa is responsible for enhancing operational performance and driving engagement through the execution of various initiatives. This role involves process creation, financial planning, and collaboration across teams to ensure the People Team meets its objectives effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, program management capabilities, and excellent communication skills, contributing to the overall success of the People Team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Planning and Operations team with wide-ranging initiatives including process creation and improvement.
  • Coordinate Business and Objective and Key Results (OKR) reviews.
  • Facilitate financial planning and headcount management activities with Finance, Workforce Planning, and People Business Partners.
  • Identify, manage, and facilitate collaboration opportunities such as team calendars and community practices.
  • Create and collaborate on presentations for the team and leadership.
  • Support special projects from inception to execution with clear communication, outcomes, and responsibilities.
  • Research best practices and support team members in the research, design, and execution of internal consulting and program optimization projects.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • 5-8 years professional experience, management consulting or business operations experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience researching and making recommendations for programs based on best practices, data, and analytics.
  • Project or program management experience with demonstrated ability to multi-task, collaborate with different stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and remain detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility as a peer with partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a dynamic and matrixed environment with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Strong communication abilities, both oral and written, including strong story-boarding abilities through PowerPoint.
  • Advanced level of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
