About the position

The Business Process Analyst at Caterpillar Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of the SAP-based Order Management Process (OMP). This position involves collaborating with various business partners to document requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to streamline the order management process from quote to invoice. The analyst will support both internal and external customers, focusing on improving efficiency and standardization in order management.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external customers with engine quotes, orders, deliveries, and billing documents.
• Analyze information to provide recommendations for SAP enhancements.
• Document and communicate business issues to a technical team for resolution.
• Provide support for Customer Solution Quoter, Sales and Distribution, Design to Order, and OMP interfaces.
• Document and maintain business process documentation for unique ordering scenarios.
• Reduce work-around processes to simplify and standardize quote to invoice processes.

Requirements

• Advanced analytical skills and ability to adapt to multiple cultures and countries.
• Strong influencing skills and intellectual curiosity.
• Good communication skills to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and presentation materials.
• Knowledge of ordering systems, preferably SAP.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience in roles related to sales, marketing, information technology, or business development, including Order Management and Project Management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Lean principles and practices.
• Experience with tools like Power BI, MS Forms, or other MS tools.
