About the position

The Business Process Analyst at Caterpillar is responsible for managing and improving the SAP-based Order Management Process (OMP). This role involves documenting business needs, designing solutions, and implementing enhancements to streamline the order management process from quote to invoice. The analyst will collaborate with various business partners and serve as a subject matter expert in order management processes, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external customers with engine quotes, orders, deliveries, and billing documents.
• Analyze information to provide recommendations for SAP enhancements.
• Document and communicate business issues to a technical team for resolution.
• Provide support for Customer Solution Quoter, Sales and Distribution, Design to Order, and OMP interfaces.
• Document and maintain business process documentation for unique ordering scenarios.
• Reduce work-around processes to simplify and standardize quote to invoice processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in roles related to sales, marketing, information technology, or business development, including Order Management.
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to adapt to multiple cultures and countries.
• Strong influencing skills and intellectual curiosity.
• Good communication skills to simplify complex information and develop clear communications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Lean principles and practices.
• Experience with tools like Power BI, MS Forms, or other MS tools.
