About the position

The Business Process Analyst Level III will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing reports and documents to provide actionable recommendations for major Defense Acquisition Programs within the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). This position requires a high level of expertise in managing sensitive information and interacting with senior leaders across various defense sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing reports and correspondence packages for adequacy, completeness, structure, content, and format.
  • Providing recommendations to action officers to improve inadequate packages prior to senior leader review.
  • Analyzing information from various acquisition and program sources.
  • Authoring, reviewing, and editing documents and preparing reports.
  • Participating in program performance assessments of Major Defense Acquisitions Programs.
  • Ensuring senior leader decisions are clearly communicated in correspondence prepared for signature.
  • Determining the acceptability of documents based on composition, coordination, and logical analysis.
  • Monitoring workload and directing prioritized changes to documents based on rational priorities.
  • Working under pressure to meet deadlines and manage priorities while handling sensitive information.
  • Interacting with a broad range of highly sensitive issues with various defense and governmental entities.
  • Performing Executive Administrative Support duties as needed.
  • Drafting funding contracting documents for senior leadership review.
  • Maintaining and reconciling budgets.
  • Composing correspondence and memoranda requiring independent judgment.
  • Assembling enclosures and reference documentation for correspondence packages.
  • Routing correspondence according to approved distribution codes.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence and recommending format changes.
  • Maintaining correspondence control systems to reflect current task status.
  • Preparing internal and external office correspondence and managing classified documents.
  • Ensuring special handling of expedited correspondence.
  • Maintaining multiple office and executive calendars for scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Providing customer service to clients by phone and in person.
  • Processing travel arrangements and reimbursements through the Defense Travel System.
  • Coordinating OUSD(A&S) activities for Program and Budget Reviews and OMB Passback.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI facility clearance.
  • Minimum of five years of specialized experience in leading and providing technical guidance on complex projects.
  • Experience in executive level support within DoD or federal agencies.
  • Proven ability to manage customer expectations and work directly with clients.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities, initiative, judgment, creativity, flexibility, and confidence.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is desired.
