About the position

The Electric Transmission System Protection Field Operations team at Dominion Energy is seeking a motivated Business Process Analyst to enhance and manage internal processes, develop data tracking systems, and create PowerBI dashboards. This role is crucial as the team undertakes significant projects, including the interconnection of 5000 MW of solar generation and the first utility-owned offshore wind project in U.S. federal waters. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, promoting flexibility while contributing to the company's commitment to clean energy and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support business tools and processes that measure organizational bandwidth of the ET Field Operations Team
  • Develop and support a system to track and maintain fleet vehicle assignments, vehicle orders, retirements, and other related data
  • Use Microsoft Office Programs to create spreadsheets, develop written documents, document processes, and develop graphics for presentations
  • Develop and support a business tool that documents and tracks ratings of field contractors
  • Identify and implement ways to streamline existing group processes to reduce administrative workload on the group
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience for Business Process Analyst with a preferred Bachelor's Degree (or 5+ years with an Associate's Degree, or 7+ years with HS/GED)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience for Senior Business Process Analyst with a preferred Bachelor's Degree (or 7+ years with an Associate's Degree, or 9+ years with HS/GED)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively facilitate multiple projects or assignments simultaneously
  • Experience participating in projects driving software deployments and project management tools
  • Experience applying project management principles to lead new initiatives
  • Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and adjust work plans with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrates a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI
