About the position

The Business Process Analyst at Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) plays a crucial role in evaluating and improving social service and corporate processes. Under the guidance of the Director of Evaluation and Monitoring, the Analyst will analyze workflows, propose best practices, and assist in implementing improved processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Programs and Corporate Functions to determine proper sequences of workflow.
  • Build workflows and create connections between software through APIs using SQL.
  • Obtain broad knowledge of program contracts and grants and their requirements.
  • Ensure processes meet requirements.
  • Support programs as they implement improved processes.
  • Create and maintain a database of improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Evaluation and Monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration or a related social science field, or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • 5 years' experience in data analysis or quality assurance in a business setting (public or not-for-profit).
  • 3 years' experience in database operations/management.
  • 2 years' experience serving nonprofit organizations.
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with and certification in Integrify or similar IT systems.
  • Working knowledge of Medi-Cal regulations, especially relating to substance abuse treatment.
