About the position
The Senior Business Process Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and improving business processes within a large financial institution. This position requires extensive experience in business analysis, particularly in the banking sector, and involves working closely with both technical and non-technical teams to gather requirements and develop functional specifications. The role emphasizes collaboration in an Agile environment and requires a strong understanding of business analysis best practices.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and develop functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
- Model business processes using various tools and techniques, preferably BPMN.
- Utilize Azure Dev Ops for capturing user stories.
- Engage in process re-engineering and write SQL queries to support analysis.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical resources to ensure effective communication and project success.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, particularly in a large financial institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance.
- Extensive experience working in an Agile environment as a Product Owner.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis best practices, such as BABOK.
- Experience in gathering business requirements and developing functional specifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with process re-engineering.
- Familiarity with SQL queries.
- Knowledge of BPMN for modeling business processes.
