About the position

The Business Process Consultant/Budget Analyst will serve as a principal budget advisor to high-profile Federal Government clients, guiding them through budget formulation and execution cycles. This role involves compiling and analyzing financial information, championing financial processes, and ensuring adherence to established budget and forecast updates. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Federal Government budgeting processes to support client-directed requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information for the organization, supporting client-directed requirements.
• Champion financial processes, tools, and best practices and guide clients through routine processes, adhering to the established cadence for budget and forecast updates and variance analysis.
• Derive budget-related data and take budget-related actions using client tools and databases.
• Analyze and visualize budget-related data, mapping prior and planned budget expenditures against organizational priorities and strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• TS/SCI with polygraph
• 3+ years of experience with Federal Government budgeting processes and tools
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Intermediate to advanced data manipulation and analytical skills using Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, and work on several projects simultaneously
• Ability to think critically, analyze, and actively listen to effectively solve problems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent research, data gathering, and analytical skills
• Experience with projects on client sites

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree in a business-related field
• Certification in accounting, finance, or project management
