About the position

As a Business Process Data Architect at National Indemnity Company, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with various teams to deliver master data management, governance, and analytics solutions that align with our strategic initiatives. This position is based in Omaha, NE, and operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring 50% in-office presence. You will be part of the Berkshire Hathaway group of insurance companies, which is known for its unparalleled financial strength and stability, while also providing a friendly, small company atmosphere. This role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship. In this position, you will lead process improvement projects that deliver measurable cost savings, improved quality, and increased efficiency. You will serve as a technical leader in the application of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile. Your responsibilities will include leading teams, participating in, and generating recommendations to gain efficiencies in all areas of data management and mainframe systems. You will also work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data architecture solutions with existing systems and infrastructure. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology and a minimum of five years of experience in process modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing. Familiarity with technologies such as Power Designer, SSIS, Azure, and AWS is essential. The ideal candidate will possess independent judgment to handle moderately complex issues and have comprehensive general knowledge of the subject matter to make informed decisions. Additionally, you will be expected to mentor employees by providing best practices on topics such as goal setting, time management, and communication, while regularly working with confidential data.
