About the position

The Business Process Manager for Supply Chain at Roche serves as a crucial link between local and global business operations, facilitating communication and collaboration between local business units and IT professionals. This role involves providing global leadership and consultancy for the implementation and management of best practice processes within the supply chain, particularly focusing on Warehouse and Transportation Management, as well as ERP/APO Material Requirements Planning and SAP BW Reporting processes. The position requires participation in change management processes, evaluation of business requirements, and coordination of testing and training efforts to ensure effective rollout and implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the link between local and global business and act as a translator between local business and IT professionals.
  • Provide global leadership and consultancy for the implementation, management, and further development of global divisional best practice processes.
  • Review local change requests and identify potential for changes to global solutions.
  • Contribute to and coordinate the global harmonization and consolidation of Warehouse and Transportation Management processes.
  • Support and promote best practice solutions in collaboration with local and global teams and relevant IT professionals.
  • Participate in the local or global change management process with Supply Chain and IT professionals.
  • Act as a counterpart to IT professionals for project implementation, solution development, and issue resolution.
  • Evaluate business requirements for local, regional, or global relevance and conduct fit-gap analysis of business requirements to global best practices.
  • Partner with, advise, and support BPOs, CMT, and IT in priority setting and resource allocation.
  • Provide guidance on technical and cross-functional implications.
  • Organize and lead international and multicultural workshops using the Roche Supply Chain network.
  • Plan, prepare, coordinate, and execute integration testing and user acceptance testing with necessary documentation for local and global requirements.
  • Develop training materials for new functionality and assist with training when needed.
  • Maintain Quick Reference Guides and represent local business needs for requirements/initiatives or rollout projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable education.
  • 5 years of professional experience in a related field; OR 3 years with a Master's degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to proactively plan and lead project activities and commit to deliverables and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional language skills in Spanish considered an advantage.
  • Awareness and ability to lead and work in multicultural teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • Understanding of SAP modules and solutions including Warehouse Management, Extended Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, ERP or APO Material Requirements Planning, and SAP BW Reporting.
