About the position

The Business Process Manager II - PDO Change Delivery Execution at TD Bank plays a crucial role in representing Payment and Deposit Operations (PDO) on various project change deliveries across Consumer, Commercial, and Distribution verticals. This position is responsible for leading and executing PDO line of business owned projects, ensuring that all initiatives, process enhancements, and improvements are effectively managed and delivered. The manager will act as a liaison for vendor management engagement and activities, handling first-level project escalations and troubleshooting as necessary. In this role, the manager will represent PDO in various high-level meetings, including update calls, Executive Steering Committee, and Delivery Review Board meetings. They will track project updates in SSG&C risk logs and work closely with other Change Delivery teams to ensure that all governance, processes, procedures, and workflows are current and effective for ongoing projects. As a subject matter expert, the manager will engage in compliance and regulatory sponsored projects, ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals and customer expectations. The position requires the documentation of all processes and controls, defining and supporting process improvement initiatives across multifunctional areas. The manager will leverage partnerships with IT, Ops Innovation and Excellence, and Risk Management to drive improvements and challenge existing processes, making recommendations for necessary changes. They will also identify potential risks in processes and recommend controls to mitigate these risks, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for managing a team of direct reports, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support their development. They will prioritize and manage their workload, ensuring quality results are delivered within predetermined timelines. This role is pivotal in representing the business and coordinating with external service providers and other areas within the bank on high-risk, major projects, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute PDO line of business owned projects.
  • Support PDO payment and deposit operation sponsored initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Act as liaison for vendor management engagement and activities.
  • Handle first-level project escalations and troubleshooting.
  • Represent PDO in update calls, Executive Steering Committee, and Delivery Review Board meetings.
  • Track project updates in SSG&C risk logs.
  • Ensure all governance, processes, procedures, and workflows are up to date for projects in flight.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on business partner sponsored projects and compliance sponsored projects.
  • Facilitate the documentation of all processes and controls.
  • Define, design, and support process improvement initiatives across multifunctional areas.
  • Identify points of process risks or potential failure and make recommendations to control risk.
  • Manage the technology change control process as needed.
  • Work on and occasionally lead special projects as needed.
  • Gather, prioritize, and explain user requirements to support project activities and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations in a methodical manner.
  • Keep business leaders informed about the status/progress of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of bank operations experience.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Suite software.
  • Aptitude and training in Lean, Six Sigma, and AOM with a goal of certification.
  • Skilled in research, analysis, problem solving, metrics, and reporting.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and weaknesses.
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills to enable change without direct control.
  • Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations methodically.
  • Skilled in time management and driving tasks to completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills.
  • Ability to consult on large and complex projects.
