About the position

The Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) role in Business Banking focuses on enhancing client relationships and providing tailored financial solutions to improve the lives of clients and their businesses. This position involves managing a portfolio of business clients, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring compliance with risk management protocols.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70 - 90 business clients with annual revenue of $1 - $5 million.
• Provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000.
• Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions.
• Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client.
• Conduct in-person calls with prospects, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their places of business.
• Follow a disciplined relationship development process to maintain and build relationships.
• Regularly review processes and strategies with manager, making adjustments as needed.
• Identify and pursue potential new business clients to cultivate long-term banking relationships.
• Identify the personal financial goals and needs of business clients and build collaborative relationships with partners across lines of business.
• Provide leadership by actively supporting assigned branches and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience.
• General business experience and knowledge of business credit and core business products and services.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners.
• Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and interests of the firm.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize daily tasks to achieve business objectives.
• Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
