About the position

The Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) role in Business Banking at JPMorgan Chase focuses on building and managing relationships with business clients. The position aims to enhance clients' financial well-being through tailored financial solutions, education, and advice. The BRM will oversee a portfolio of 70-90 business clients, providing comprehensive banking solutions while ensuring risk management and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70 - 90 business clients with annual revenue of $1 - $5 million.
  • Provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000.
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing customized banking solutions.
  • Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to recommend solutions that serve clients' needs.
  • Conduct in-person calls with prospects, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their places of business.
  • Follow a disciplined relationship development process to maintain and build relationships.
  • Regularly review processes and strategies with manager, making adjustments as needed.
  • Identify and pursue potential new business clients to cultivate long-term banking relationships.
  • Build collaborative relationships with partners across lines of business to connect clients with specialists.
  • Provide leadership by supporting assigned branches and adhering to risk management protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience.
  • General business experience and knowledge of business credit and core business products and services.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and interests of the firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and achieve business objectives.
