About the position

The Business Relationship Manager I (BRM) in Business Banking is responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing business clients, focusing on building relationships and providing tailored financial advice. This role aims to enhance the financial well-being of clients through customized banking solutions while ensuring risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70 - 90 business clients with annual revenue of $1 - $5 million.
  • Provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $500,000.
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions.
  • Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client.
  • Conduct in-person calls with prospects, centers of influence (COIs), and existing clients at their places of business.
  • Follow a disciplined relationship development process to maintain and build relationships.
  • Review processes and strategies with manager and make adjustments as needed.
  • Identify and pursue potential new business clients to cultivate long-term banking relationships.
  • Identify personal financial goals and needs of business clients and build collaborative relationships with partners across lines of business.
  • Provide leadership by actively supporting assigned branches and adhering to risk management protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related business lending experience.
  • General business experience and knowledge of business credit and core business products and services.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and interests of the firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to own problems on clients' behalf and follow through with commitment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
