About the position

As a Business Relationship Manager Senior Acquisition banker at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a pivotal role in Business Banking by developing and managing a portfolio of large, profitable business clients with annual revenues exceeding approximately $3 million. This position is designed for individuals who are customer-focused and enjoy building relationships while providing financial advice tailored to the unique needs of each client. Your primary responsibilities will include business development, acquiring new balances, deepening product utilization, and gaining referrals to enhance the primary bank share of your clients. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, retaining, and deepening relationships with around 40 business clients and 60 prospects who are in a growth or expansion stage. You will provide comprehensive business deposit and cash management solutions, as well as manage business credit opportunities of up to $15 million. Additionally, you will support branch-based business bankers on significant business credit deals as necessary. Your focus will be on delivering an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by offering customized banking solutions that meet their financial needs and circumstances. You will actively grow your portfolio by prospecting for new clients whose businesses are expanding, utilizing your extensive referral networks and centers of influence to identify and pursue potential new business clients. Building long-term primary banking relationships will be a key aspect of your role. You will also develop a strong internal referral network in collaboration with Private Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Middle Market, and One Chase to uncover new opportunities for all partners involved. Your expertise in various business types, industries, markets, and financial concepts will be essential as you leverage creative marketing techniques and Chase resources to develop your business network and prospects. Engaging with clients and prospects through in-person and virtual calls will allow you to understand their needs and develop comprehensive financial relationships. You will also need to understand the personal financial goals of business owners and partner with Branch, Wealth Management, and Private Bank to deliver appropriate personal financial solutions. To ensure a seamless onboarding experience for clients, you will collaborate with product specialists and leverage the service team to provide an outstanding client experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for protecting the firm by adhering to sound risk management protocols, control policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, retain and deepen a portfolio of approximately 40 business clients and 60 prospects in a growth/expansion stage with annual revenue greater than ~$3 million.
  • Provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to $15 million.
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs.
  • Grow portfolio by prospecting for new clients whose businesses are in expansion mode.
  • Utilize extensive referral networks and centers of influence to independently identify and pursue potential new business clients.
  • Develop strong referral network internally in partnership with Private Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Middle Market and One Chase to identify new opportunities.
  • Leverage knowledge of diverse types of businesses, industries, markets, financial and economic concepts to develop business network and prospects.
  • Develop relationships with clients, prospects and centers of influence through in-person/virtual calls to understand their needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of personal banking products and partner with Branch, Wealth Management and Private Bank to identify and deliver appropriate personal financial solutions.
  • Partner with product specialists to ensure clients are onboarded seamlessly with end-to-end delivery of new accounts and full suite of products and services.
  • Protect the firm by following sound risk management protocols and control policies and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business banking or a related field with a focus on client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of business deposit and cash management solutions.
  • Ability to manage business credit opportunities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through networking and referrals.
