About the position

As a Business Relationship Manager Senior Acquisition banker in Business Banking, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of large, profitable business clients with annual revenues exceeding approximately $3 million. This role is centered around business development, where you will focus on acquiring new clients, deepening product utilization, and gaining referrals to enhance the primary bank share. Your primary goal will be to provide a high-touch experience by building strong relationships and offering tailored financial advice, all while maintaining a keen focus on client experience and risk management. In this position, you will manage a portfolio of around 40 business clients and 60 prospects who are in a growth or expansion stage. You will provide business deposit and cash management solutions, as well as manage business credit opportunities up to $15 million. Additionally, you will support branch-based business bankers on larger business credit deals as necessary. Your role will require you to deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by offering comprehensive and customized banking solutions that meet their unique financial needs. You will actively grow your portfolio by prospecting for new clients whose businesses are expanding. This will involve utilizing extensive referral networks and centers of influence to independently identify and pursue potential new business clients, with the aim of cultivating long-term primary banking relationships. Developing a strong internal referral network in partnership with Private Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Middle Market, and One Chase will be crucial in identifying new opportunities for collaboration. Your knowledge of diverse business types, industries, markets, and financial concepts will be essential in developing your business network and prospects. You will engage with clients and prospects through in-person and virtual calls to understand their needs and develop comprehensive financial relationships. Understanding the personal financial goals of business owners will also be a key aspect of your role, as you will partner with various teams to deliver appropriate personal financial solutions. Finally, you will work closely with product specialists to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for clients, delivering a full suite of products and services. It will be imperative to protect the firm by adhering to sound risk management protocols, control policies, and regulatory requirements throughout your work.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire, retain and deepen a portfolio of approximately 40 business clients and 60 prospects in a growth/expansion stage with annual revenue greater than ~$3 million.
  • Provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to $15 million.
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs.
  • Grow portfolio by prospecting for new clients whose businesses are in expansion mode.
  • Utilize extensive referral networks and centers of influence to independently identify and pursue potential new business clients.
  • Develop strong referral network internally in partnership with Private Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Middle Market and One Chase to identify new opportunities for all partners.

  • Leverage service team to deliver an outstanding client experience.
  • Protect the firm by following sound risk management protocols and control policies and adhering to regulatory requirements.
