About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in generating B2B leads by collaborating closely with the sales and marketing teams. This position focuses on identifying potential clients within a specific market and region, ensuring that leads meet criteria such as budget, authority, needs, and timelines. The SDR is responsible for achieving lead generation targets, conducting thorough research, and initiating the sales process through various engagement methods.

Responsibilities

  • Generate B2B leads with validated budget, authority, relevant needs, and time-bound projects.
  • Achieve agreed lead generation and pipeline creation targets.
  • Conduct research using various techniques, including social media mining, to profile target prospects and accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with internal clients in sales and marketing.
  • Identify account development potential within assigned accounts by studying current business and qualifying key target buyer personas.
  • Initiate the sales process by building relationships and qualifying potential leads.
  • Schedule appointments through multi-touch methods including calls, emails, online messages, and social media interactions.
  • Share market insights and learnings from engagement with prospects, including persona descriptions and competitive intelligence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience, preferably as an LDR/SDR/BDR in the tech industry.
  • Experience generating qualified leads through cold calling is a plus.
  • Demonstrated basic social selling skills.
  • Ability to consistently achieve targets.
  • Self-motivated to improve knowledge and skills through personal research and development.
  • IT/Technology savvy.
  • Performance-driven with a competitive mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM.
  • Proficient in the use of Outreach.
  • Fluent in various social media platforms.
  • Proficient in LinkedIn, Messaging, and InMail.
