About the position

The Business Sales Engineer for Hosted Voice at Bluepeak is a pivotal role that combines sales expertise with technical knowledge to drive the adoption of hosted voice solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at achieving and exceeding sales targets. This involves not only understanding the technical aspects of hosted voice solutions but also effectively communicating their benefits to potential clients. In this role, you will provide technical consultation to prospective clients, ensuring that their specific needs are met with tailored solutions. You will conduct product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the features and advantages of our hosted voice services. Collaboration with the engineering team is essential to ensure that proposed solutions are feasible and can be successfully implemented. Additionally, you will assess performance metrics and service level agreements to align company capabilities with customer expectations. Staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies will be crucial for identifying new sales opportunities and enhancing product offerings. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with the marketing team to create effective sales materials and campaigns, coordinating with internal departments for smooth client onboarding, and participating in industry events to promote our solutions. This role is not just about sales; it’s about building long-term relationships with key stakeholders and contributing to the overall success of Bluepeak’s hosted voice initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets for hosted voice solutions.
  • Provide technical consultation to prospective clients, understanding their needs and recommending tailored hosted voice solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the features and benefits of our hosted voice services.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of proposed solutions.
  • Assess performance and service level agreements against both company capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the hosted voice market.
  • Gather and analyze market data to identify new sales opportunities and market demands.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings and sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective sales materials, campaigns, and promotions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new clients.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our hosted voice solutions.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in voice/data/video communications services.
  • 3+ years of engineering/technical account management experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test prior to starting employment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and able to pass a motor vehicle report check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in Google Earth or similar mapping/GIS program and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise solutions including but not limited to DWDM circuits, TDM services ranging from T1 to OCx, FTTx, Ethernet, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN architecture, WiFi Network Design, Direct Internet Access, Wi-Fi, and VoIP.
  • Possess a consultative approach to providing solutions.
  • Strong experience in developing long-term business relationships with key technical stakeholders in organizations.
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and sales skills.
