About the position

The Business Sales Executive (BSE) for Juniper Networks at SHI will serve as a pivotal expert on Juniper Product Solutions and marketing, ensuring that the sales force is equipped to provide customers with optimal solutions tailored to their needs. This role is integral to the sales process, requiring extensive collaboration with sales teams to educate them on Juniper's offerings and assist in closing business activities. The BSE will lead and support the Networking Business Sales Executive team, acting as a key point of escalation for any issues that arise. In this position, the BSE will be responsible for joining and hosting Juniper team meetings to represent the BSE team and provide necessary updates. They will work closely with sales teams to drive the sales process by coordinating customer reviews of aging inventory and identifying refresh opportunities that leverage Juniper's programs, promotions, and pricing strategies to maximize margins. Additionally, the BSE will coach and train the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities that align with Juniper's revenue and gross margin targets. The role also involves providing monthly reporting and analysis of business results, as well as maintaining a joint pipeline with business leaders within the assigned territory. Establishing and nurturing relationships between SHI and Juniper within the territory is crucial, as is ensuring that Account Executive activities are closely aligned with Juniper's sales goals. The BSE will proactively create and execute sales growth plans to drive success in the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Join and host Juniper team meetings as needed to represent the BSE team and provide updates.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive the sales process of the solution by coordinating customer reviews of aging inventory and looking for refresh opportunities to utilize Juniper's programs, promotions, and pricing and maximize the amount of margin generated.
  • Coach/train the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities to achieve Juniper Revenue and GM target attainment.
  • Provide monthly reporting, analysis of business results, and joint pipeline to business leaders within the territory.
  • Establish and help develop relationships between SHI and Juniper within the territory.
  • Ensure AE activities are tightly aligned with Juniper Sales goals within the assigned territory.
  • Proactively create and execute sales growth plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of direct IT sales or channel business development role
  • 5+ years of experience selling Enterprise Networking product lines
  • 5+ years of experience working with partners/the IT Channel
  • Ability to create and manage external partners and executive-level relationships
  • Ability to build and execute cross-functional plans to achieve defined objectives
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business results and develop an action plan
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a sales organization
  • Creative and strategic thinking with excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage a regional business with minimal input from Management
  • Experience with Juniper's Global Enterprise or Commercial Segment(s)
  • Experience with Juniper's portals, tools, programs, and processes
  • Experience with transacting Juniper through distribution
