About the position

The Business Services Advisor at Golden 1 Credit Union is responsible for advising, assisting, and educating small businesses in the community about the credit union's business services and solutions. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with small business members, enhancing member engagement, and driving business growth through proactive outreach and collaboration with branch employees.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow relationships with potential and existing members through proactive outreach and in-person visits.
  • Conduct training sessions for branch employees to enhance their understanding of the Business Services Advisor role.
  • Collaborate with the Business Services Market Area Manager to improve service capabilities and member penetration.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to drive performance within the retail channel.
  • Schedule member appointments and conduct outbound calls to uncover potential opportunities.
  • Promote Golden 1 Credit Union in the community through involvement with local organizations.
  • Provide regular reporting of activities and contacts to the Business Services Market Area Manager.
  • Engage with members throughout the business life cycle and conduct needs-based conversations to identify their financial needs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in small business banking or related fields.
  • Experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers.
  • Strong member service focus with experience in managing complex transactions.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with members and internal partners.
  • Extensive knowledge of bank lending programs and credit policies.
  • Proficient in sourcing and maintaining relationships with members and colleagues.
  • Ability to educate members on technology and mobile banking options.
  • High motivation to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance.
