About the position

The Business Solutions Analyst I serves as a crucial link between IT, Operations, and business lines, focusing on analyzing non-standard business and user needs. This role involves documenting requirements, resolving complex system problems, and supporting both new and existing applications. The analyst will also be responsible for planning, testing, implementing, and documenting system enhancements, ensuring that business needs are accurately captured and addressed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between IT, Operations, and the business line to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements, and resolve complex system problems.
  • Coordinate and support new and existing applications.
  • Research, identify, and develop solutions to problems.
  • Involved in the planning, testing, implementation, and documentation of system enhancements and conversions.
  • Identify system enhancements, document business needs, and determine impact to current system processing.
  • Work with programmers and business partners to ensure accuracy of enhancements.
  • Facilitate meetings with business partners to extract information, ideas, and thoughts; ensure all involved reach a cohesive decision.
  • Communicate upcoming changes to business partners and assist with training efforts.
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them.
  • Act as team leader for projects.
  • Plan and work flexibly to a deadline.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3 years of FCBI experience or 3 years of business analysis experience.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of business concepts and requirements.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and gathering information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills across all organizational levels are required.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ability to quickly understand and analyze the business, applications, and technical functions of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle confidential data, and remain calm when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Ability to work independently and provide updates to management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus.
