About the position

We are looking to add a Business Solutions Engineer to the Business Insights & Analytics team, who will proactively mine, structure, visualize, and analyze data to help us ask better questions about our business. This position will work closely with business stakeholders across different organizations to deliver scalable data pipelines and transform our business intelligence architecture. This role will be responsible for designing business-centric analytics solutions and implementing advanced analytical methods to help drive business value and grow profitability. The Business Solutions Engineer will oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets to support business initiatives. They will create data models and pipelines that define the flow and organization of data within the BI environment to support analysis requirements. Additionally, they will develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations, to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Presenting findings of data analyses or machine learning models in a clear and concise way to executive management is also a key responsibility. The engineer will partner with lines of business leaders, product managers, and other core stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytical solutions can provide significant business value. Furthermore, they will assist with the development of an AI strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and corporate initiatives, while fostering a culture of innovation by exploring new tools, techniques, and approaches to solve complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the collection, processing and analysis of large datasets to support business initiatives.
• Create data models and pipelines that define the flow and organization of data within the BI environment to support analysis requirements.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports and visualizations, to provide actionable insights and support data driven decision-making.
• Present findings of data analyses or machine learning models in a clear concise way to executive management.
• Partner with lines of business leaders, product managers and other core stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytical solutions can provide significant business value.
• Assist with the development of an AI strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and corporate initiatives.
• Foster a culture of innovation by exploring new tools, techniques and approaches to solve complex business challenges.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to present creative conclusions concisely and articulate complex issues clearly.
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills.
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers.
• Ability to think critically, understand why a problem exists and develop workable solutions.
• Familiarity with data engineering, data modeling, data architecture principles and data management best practices.
• Broad understanding of the financial drivers of Consumer/Commercial Banking that support the ability to create effective KPIs to measure success for executive management.
• Preferred experience with our current analytics stack Alteryx, PowerBI, Visual Studio, DataBricks and languages such as SQL, Python.
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science or Statistics.
