About the position

The Business Strategy and Operations Manager at Ellucian plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief of Staff by coordinating strategic initiatives across departments, conducting insightful analyses, and preparing reports for senior management. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief of Staff in coordinating and executing strategic initiatives across various departments.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management, highlighting key findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, identify business opportunities, and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Support the development and implementation of business plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Track project progress, key milestones, and provide regular updates to the Chief of Staff.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other analytical tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas and insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of executive communications, including memos, emails, and presentations.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for board meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in business analysis, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work products.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and being proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
