About the position

The Business System Analyst 1 position at the Office of Children and Family Services is responsible for analyzing and documenting business requirements, managing functional needs of end users, and providing solutions for system defects. The role involves continuous interaction with business partners, supporting the development and maintenance of computer application systems, and serving as a liaison between business and IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business requirements.
• Manage business functional needs of end users and stakeholders.
• Analyze system defects and provide solutions.
• Define business rules by conducting interviews and surveys with business partners.
• Create and maintain a Knowledge Base for operational needs.
• Provide ongoing production support to resolve operational systems problems.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, implementation, and operation of computer application systems.
• Serve as a liaison between business and IT staff, coordinating production issues with technical staff.
• Develop subject matter expertise across all phases of the system development life cycle.

Requirements

• One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 or 52.6 transfer.
