About the position

The Business System Analyst II position at Calcmatics, LLC is focused on supporting the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC) in its Business Plan Material Control & Reduction efforts. This role is essential for ensuring data accuracy, managing material costs, enhancing financial accountability, and aligning operations with audit readiness standards. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze material transactions, correct discrepancies, and develop strategies that support WR-ALC's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and historical material data from systems such as DIFMS, DMAPS, DDS, COGNOS, and others to identify transaction errors (overcharges, undercharges).
  • Collect and validate documentation for material inaccuracies, correct transaction errors, and submit necessary documentation for reimbursement from vendors (DFAS, DLA).
  • Conduct detailed analysis of bench stock materials to ensure accurate transaction postings within the IPV (Industrial Product-Support Vendor) system.
  • Track material corrections, develop cost correction charts, and maintain records of completed Job Order Number (JON) close-outs.
  • Implement cost management strategies to reduce maintenance repair costs and support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) goals.
  • Develop and track performance metrics to drive cost reduction behaviors that align with WR-ALC's objectives.
  • Submit and track IT help tickets for resolving technical issues affecting WR-ALC's maintenance and production activities.
  • Collaborate with IT and technical support to ensure timely responses and minimize downtime due to technical issues.
  • Coordinate with production and cost accounting stakeholders to validate costs and address discrepancies in material pricing within DIFMS.
  • Support communication efforts with stakeholders for necessary system corrections and provide backup data for accuracy validation.
  • Assist and oversee government employee inputs to ensure accuracy and timeliness in material transactions.
  • Provide guidance on proper ordering, receipt, and turnover of materials, ensuring correct JON allocations and documentation.
  • Generate monthly reports (Event Summary, Material Management, Financial Corrections) to track expense management, material corrections, and compliance with financial audit standards.
  • Maintain audit trails for all transactions to support transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in government supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in systems such as DIFMS, DMAPS, DDS, COGNOS, and other financial/material management platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, document, and correct discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and provide training and guidance.
  • Familiarity with financial audit standards and practices, including FIAR compliance.
