About the position

The Business System Analyst role focuses on leveraging strong SQL skills and a solid background in healthcare to analyze and define end-to-end business processes for data warehouse ETL applications. The position requires hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries and performing data analysis, profiling, and cleansing to support business requirements. The analyst will also be responsible for creating various documentation and ensuring requirement conformance through UAT.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define end-to-end business processes for data warehouse ETL applications.
• Write complex SQL queries using functions like Ranking, Partition, and Aggregations.
• Perform data cleansing, transformations, and normalizations to discover information from multiple sources.
• Create Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Documents, and Source-to-Target Mapping documents.
• Provide walkthroughs to development and testing teams and perform UAT for requirement conformance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis with a strong focus on healthcare.
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience in data analysis and profiling, including data cleansing and transformations.
• Knowledge of slowly changing dimensions, facts, dimensions, and different schemas in data warehousing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Modeling expertise in data warehousing.
• Good knowledge of Payer, Provider, Membership, and Claim in the healthcare domain.
