About the position

The Business System Analyst (BSA) role focuses on leveraging expertise in web applications and JD Edwards (JDE) 9.2 to support business operations. The position requires a blend of technical and analytical skills to gather requirements, write specifications, and ensure effective communication between in-house and third-party teams. The BSA will work independently, managing production issues and collaborating with UX designers and development teams to enhance user experience and meet project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from in-house and third-party teams.
• Write specifications including User Stories, Functional Design Documents, and Mapping Documents for web portals and JDE integration.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing.
• Own and triage production issues, assisting in their resolution.
• Estimate efforts based on requirements and collaborate with UX designers to create user-friendly screens.
• Conduct demos and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Work closely with development and QA teams in an onsite-offshore model to meet project milestones.
• Collaborate with other Business System Analysts in the team.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in web applications and JD Edwards (JDE) 9.2.
• Proficient in communication and requirement gathering for Business Requirement Documents.
• Hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) for writing medium to complex queries.
• Experience in writing specifications for integration (JSON, XML) and backend systems.
• Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange, Sales and Distribution modules in JDE.
• Experience in Agile practices and working in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced knowledge of Pricing and Preference modules in JDE.
• Basic knowledge of the Finance Module (A/R).
• Hands-on experience with AgGateway XML and Chem eStandards (Version 5.x & 6.x).
