About the position

The Business System Analyst position focuses on providing analytical support within the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. The role requires extensive experience in business analysis, particularly with Guidewire, DuckCreek, or OneShield products. The analyst will work closely with product owners, business users, and subject matter experts to identify requirements, resolve issues, and facilitate project management activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support analyst to comprehend requirements and gaps in understanding
• Work with Product Owners, Business Users, and SMEs in resolving issues and problem areas
• Conduct Change Request analysis and requirement gathering with business representatives
• Transform requirements into user stories and collaborate with the team for shared understanding
• Create and refine user stories and analysis tasks for problem statements
• Group analysis items into functional areas for holistic solutions
• Manage the JIRA board and update cross-reference epics
• Review and track critical dependencies between various work streams
• Maintain a deep understanding of the scope of work and manage the project schedule
• Articulate how decisions may impact the project schedule accordingly
• Work with DM for RCA tracking and approvals
• Run daily meetings and schedule on-demand connects
• Facilitate project management and analysis activities for monitoring and reporting purposes
• Demonstrate strategic thinking through research on emerging business issues
• Drive continuous improvement plans, engagement governance, and objectives

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the P&C Insurance domain
• Experience with Guidewire, DuckCreek, or OneShield products
• Strong skills in business analysis and requirement gathering
• Ability to transform requirements into user stories
• Experience managing JIRA boards and tracking project schedules
