About the position

The Business Systems Analyst position at By Light Professional IT Services LLC involves supporting an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The role focuses on providing strategic, technical, and program management guidance to enhance the operations and modernization of the combatant command's infrastructure, systems, and applications. The analyst will work closely with the IT Service Portfolio Manager to design and document services, ensuring effective and efficient IT solutions are delivered.

Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent approach to designing services
• Deliver effective and efficient IT and mission solutions through coordination of design activities
• Design services that can be easily and efficiently developed
• Coordinate with stakeholders for deploying new or changed services to ensure workflows are developed in the Service Request System
• Document workflows with tasks prior to service implementation
• Achieve improvement in IT service quality by reducing rework after services transition to live production
• Facilitate completion of a Service Design Package for all new and existing services
• Assist the Government IT Service Portfolio Manager in documenting and maintaining templates for Service Design Coordination
• Schedule and document all required meetings in support of Service Design Coordination

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• 5+ years of experience
• ITIL 4 Foundations certification
• Experience with formal system development methodologies including Agile
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience with business process modeling
• Experience eliciting and documenting software requirements in the form of use cases and user stories
• Experience working with BMC Remedy Ticketing System
• Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience in business analysis activities including SW/HW requirements management and analysis, elicitation, solutions analysis, and planning
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• ITIL 4 Managing Professional certification
• Knowledge of and/or experience with software and hardware discovery tools
