About the position

The Business System Analyst role at The Judge Group Inc. involves collaborating with various teams to develop requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive projects to completion. This position is remote and is a temporary contract for 6 months, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and clarity of specifications while assisting in gathering business requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business, marketing, technical, and design teams to develop requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive projects to completion.
  • Identify functional definitions, workflows, and impacts to existing applications.
  • Design user interface mockups, visual models, charts, and flow diagrams.
  • Conduct analytical review meetings with stakeholders to write functional specifications.
  • Facilitate clarification of specification issues during the software development process.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of specifications.
  • Assist in gathering business requirements when necessary.
  • Follow standard development processes to create stable, maintainable products.
  • Work with minimal supervision to deliver on schedule and coordinate multiple job requests.
  • Present specifications to stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of related work experience.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, good problem solver, good listener, articulate in both writing and verbal communications, and able to handle projects alone and within a group.
  • Positive attitude, negotiation skills, strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle and knowledge of successful software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to solve problems across business, functional, technical, and operational domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain large sets of documentation; high proficiency with Microsoft Word or other documentation tools.
  • Knowledge of any relational database like SQL Server is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial Services, Mortgage Servicing, and Auction Experience preferred.
  • Salesforce Objects experience is a plus.
  • Mobile experience with iOS and Android is a plus.
  • Understanding of .NET Architecture is a huge plus.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems preferred.
  • API testing experience preferred.
  • Ability to query databases for data is required.
